RBT/Interventionist

Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Interventionist to support students' academic and behavioral development within educational settings. The ideal candidate will collaborate with teachers, parents, and specialists to implement tailored intervention strategies that promote positive learning experiences. This role offers an opportunity to make a meaningful impact on children's educational journeys, particularly those with diverse needs or disabilities. The Interventionist will utilize expertise in curriculum development, learning technology, and classroom management to foster an inclusive and engaging environment for learners of all backgrounds.

 

Duties

  • Develop and adapt curriculum materials aligned with individual student needs, including literacy, math, and physical education components.

  • Implement evidence-based intervention strategies to support students with disabilities or behavioral challenges.

  • Utilize Learning Management Systems (LMS) and other educational technology tools to track progress and facilitate instruction.

  • Plan and deliver engaging lessons that incorporate classroom management techniques and behavioral management strategies.

  • Collaborate with teachers, special education staff, and families to design personalized learning plans.

  • Provide tutoring and additional instructional support to students requiring extra assistance in core subjects such as literacy, math, or early childhood education.

  • Manage conflict resolution and behavior management issues within the classroom or intervention setting.

  • Maintain detailed documentation of student progress and intervention outcomes for reporting purposes.

  • Participate in ongoing professional development related to childhood development, Montessori methods, or other specialized educational approaches.

 

Requirements

  • Proven experience working with children in educational or childcare settings, including preschool or toddler care.

  • Strong knowledge of curriculum development, instructional design, and learning technology tools such as LMS platforms.

  • Background in special education, early childhood education, or childhood development is highly desirable.Excellent communication skills for effective collaboration with students, parents, teachers, and other stakeholders.

  • Demonstrated classroom management skills and experience with behavior management techniques.

  • Ability to adapt teaching methods for diverse learners, including those with disabilities or behavioral challenges.

  • Experience with tutoring, literacy education, math instruction, physical education, or library services is a plus.Familiarity with private school environments or Montessori teaching philosophies is advantageous.

  • Strong writing skills for documentation and lesson planning purposes.

Job Type: Part-timePay: $18.00 - $32.00 per hour

 

Expected hours: No more than 30 per week
