Assessment

The assessment process is the foundation of your child’s ABA program. It allows us to understand your child’s strengths, challenges, and individual needs so we can create a personalized treatment plan.

Initial Consultation

We begin with a parent interview to review developmental history, current concerns, goals, and any previous evaluations or services.

Comprehensive Evaluation

A Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) conducts skill assessments and direct observations to evaluate communication, social, daily living, and play skills. If needed, a Functional Behavior Assessment (FBA) is completed to identify the purpose of challenging behaviors.

Individualized Treatment Plan

Based on the results, we develop a customized, measurable treatment plan tailored to your child’s needs. The plan outlines skill-building goals, behavior strategies (if needed), and ongoing data collection to monitor progress.

Direct Therapy

Direct therapy is where meaningful learning and skill development take place. During these sessions, your child works one-on-one with a trained behavior technician under the supervision of a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA).

One-on-One Instruction

Therapy sessions focus on individualized goals outlined in your child’s treatment plan. Skills may include communication, social interaction, play, daily living skills, emotional regulation, and school readiness.

Evidence-Based Teaching Strategies

Our team uses research-supported ABA strategies such as positive reinforcement, prompting, modeling, and structured teaching to help children learn new skills in a supportive and engaging environment.

Behavior Support

If challenging behaviors are present, therapists implement proactive strategies and teach appropriate replacement skills to promote safer, more functional behaviors.

Data Collection & Progress Monitoring

Each session includes real-time data collection to track progress. This allows the supervising BCBA to regularly review performance, adjust strategies, and ensure continued growth.

Parent/Caregiver Training

Caregiver involvement is a vital part of successful ABA therapy. We believe progress happens fastest when families feel confident and supported in using strategies at home and in the community.

Collaborative Goal Setting

We work closely with parents and caregivers to identify meaningful goals that align with your family’s values, routines, and priorities.

Graduation

Our ultimate goal is independence.

ABA therapy is not meant to last forever. From the very beginning, we design programs with graduation in mind — building the skills your child needs to succeed confidently at home, in school, and in the community.

Building Toward Independence

Throughout therapy, we focus on:

  • Functional communication and emotional regulation

  • Social and peer interaction skills

  • Daily living and self-help skills

As skills strengthen, we gradually fade supports to promote independence and generalization across environments.

Ongoing Progress Reviews

The supervising Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) regularly reviews data to determine when goals have been mastered and when therapy hours can be reduced. Transition planning is thoughtful and gradual to ensure your child continues to succeed with less support.

A Thoughtful Transition Plan

Graduation may include:

  • Reduced therapy hours over time

  • Parent-led implementation of strategies

  • Collaboration with school teams

  • Community integration goals

We celebrate graduation as a major milestone — a reflection of hard work, growth, and meaningful progress.
